- Question: What are the minimum system requirements for CHESSIMO®?
Answer: In order to install CHESSIMO® on your PC, it is required:
Operating System: Windows 2000 (Service pack 2 or over), Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7
Minimum: 336Mhz,
Recommended: 1.6Ghz or over
Minimum: 128MB
Recommended: 256MB or over
Minimum: 2MB graphics card or over
Recommended: 8MB or over
Minimum: 800x600 Resolution
Recommended: 1024x768
Minimum: 12MB of space available on your hard drive
Recommended: 30MB or over
- Question: I am impressed with the trial version of CHESSIMO® and am ready to purchase the full version. How should I proceed?
Answer: We are very happy that you like our chess software. In order to train with the full version of CHESSIMO®, you will first need to order and purchase this version from our web site. Once we have received your payment we'll send your individual access keys to the e-mail address you provided during the purchase process. After you receive your individual access keys, simply run the trial version that is already on your computer and register the software by entering your access keys. After this process your trial version will upgrade to the full version and you can immediately enjoy all the benefits and features of the full version.
- Question: What steps must I follow in order to register and activate CHESSIMO®?
Answer: In order to register your chess sofware, just run the trial version of CHESSIMO® and click the "Help" button, followed by "Software register". Then, insert your user name and activation key. Please insert the information exactly as it is written in the e-mail containing your personal access information.
In order to activate the software, click the "Help" button again and then choose "activate Chessimo" to complete this process. Your chess software is now activated.
Important: In order to use all the powerful features of CHESSIMO®, you must register and activate the full version! After 7 times running or after 7 days of using CHESSIMO® without activation, it will be necessary to re-install the trial version and repeat the registration and activation process. In order to save time and effort, register and activate CHESSIMO® as soon as you receive your personal access keys.
- Question: I bought the full version of CHESSIMO®, but after a few days of use, the modules disappeared. What happened?
Answer: You probably did not register your software and the modules were disabled. You will need to uninstall the chess software, download it here again, and then register and activate it with the codes which were already provided to you.
- Question: My CHESSIMO® trial version expired. What can I do?
Answer: This trial version is valid for 15 days; after that only the Crafty engine will keep running. You can continue your chess practice by purchasing the full version. Just click here and follow the order process.
- Question: When I try to activate CHESSIMO®, I get the following error message: "Your username is already used". What can I do to continue using the full version of your chess learning software?
Answer: Please request the back-spacing of your activations through the following e-mail address: support@chessimo.com
- Question: I used to practice my chess skills with the PCT (Personal Chess Trainer) Version 2.0 and I am very interested in an upgrade to the most recent CHESSIMO® version. What must I do?
Answer: Each customer who bought the PCT version 2.0 or earlier can take advantage of our upgrade offer. After you have purchased the upgrade using our order form, we will send your new access keys to the e-mail address you provide.
Now simply install the recent CHESSIMO® version and register and activate this version with your new key.
- Question: I would like to use CHESSIMO® on another PC. Can I transfer the recent training state, or will it be lost after switching?
Answer: No, your training state wont´t be lost because of switching. You can transfer your training state to the new PC by creating a training backup.
To do this, just open CHESSIMO®, click the "training" button, and then click "backup". Chose the archive on your hard drive, where you would like to save your training state. Copy and paste this file to your new PC. Afterwards, import your training state to the chess software.
Finally, open CHESSIMO®, click the "training" button, and then click "restore backup". Chose the the backup file and click "ok". You have successfully transferred your training state to your new PC.
